Brading Wetland Project
Type:
Planning
Client:
Isle of Wight Eco Reserve
Enplan acted as lead consultants for this sustainable tourism development project, which included a new visitor centre for the RSPBs Brading Marshes Nature Reserve and restoration of former tipping land into an extension of the reserve.
The project is also closely integrated with the Environment Agency’s Brading Marshes Water Level Management Plan, which seeks to raise water levels significantly across the marsh.
Enplan masterplanned the development and designed the Reception/ Health Suite Building, four lodge types, the Visitor Centre and extensive landscape restoration proposals, including major regrading works. Enplan also acted as planners and co-ordinated the Environmental Impact Assessment submitted alongside the planning application.
