Saint Hill Manor

Saint Hill Manor in East Grinstead has served as the UK headquarters of the Church of Scientology since 1959. Over time, the estate has evolved to accommodate a wide range of religious, administrative and community activities, and it continues to host events throughout the year for both the Church and the wider community. 

Enplan was appointed to prepare detailed design proposals for external works for the Grade II listed Saint Hill Manor and the adjoining ‘Castle’. The commission covered the design of all hard and soft landscaping associated with the new contemporary refectory, the central Castle courtyard, the manor house rockery, the main drive and car park.

Additional proposals were developed for a new children’s play area, the restoration of the Dell Garden, and the restoration of the estate’s main lake and ornamental pools. Enplan provided full design services and on-site supervision to ensure the works were delivered to the highest standard.
