Enplan provides a range of landscape design services for new development and regeneration of historic parks and gardens, supporting projects through all RIBA stages to ensure high-quality, deliverable, and enduring landscape outcomes.
We deliver Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA) for a wide range of projects across multiple sectors, and provide professional judgements for shaping proposals and influencing planning outcomes. We can provide industry leading expert witness services.
We regularly review the LVIA work of others on behalf of local authorities and third parties, providing clear, independent and defensible advice. We also prepare landscape character assessments at county and local levels, as well as landscape sensitivity studies to inform specific development types, including renewable energy and strategic urban expansion.
Our expertise extends to townscape and urban character assessment, supporting development and regeneration projects within complex urban environments. We coordinate Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), prepare full Environmental Statements, and provide specialist landscape and visual inputs for a diverse portfolio of projects, including golf courses, energy recovery facilities, marinas, solar farms, and a wide range of urban developments. We undertake Green Belt / Grey Belt assessments for a range of projects.
We have a strong working knowledge of the EIA Regulations and regularly advise both developers and local authorities on their interpretation and application. Where projects require a broader environmental skill set, we assemble and manage trusted multi-disciplinary teams, working with specialist consultants to deliver coordinated, proportionate, and accessible assessments for complex schemes.
Alongside assessment work, we prepare Masterplans through a collaborative, multi-disciplinary process rooted in a deep understanding of site and place. Our masterplans range from detailed and measurable frameworks to more conceptual visions, tailored to project objectives and delivery timescales. Green infrastructure is integral to our approach, incorporating landscape structure, biodiversity enhancement, sustainable drainage, recreation, and connectivity.
