Remembrance Garden
Enplan have designed and overseen the £250k Remembrance Garden, Tonbridge. The scheme made possible by the Borough and County Council, British Legion and public donations was opened in September 2014 by the Duke of Kent. The design incorporates elements of the previous garden such as the memorial wall containing the names of those who died in the two world wars and also includes a new Yorkstone paved ‘amphitheatre’, a clay paved podium served by elliptical Yorkstone steps, a ‘soft’ sitting garden of simple lawns, herbaceous beds and semi-mature trees, as well as sculpture by Guy Portelli.
