Enplan were appointed by the site owners to advise upon development opportunities for the site situated within a Conservation Area and which contains several important listed buildings including a Grade II* Listed chapel, in the Gothic Revival style by Pugin. Enplan has been responsible for managing the planning, Masterplanning and environmental work involved in bringing the site forward for development in association with a consultancy team. This involved liaising with the local authority, English Heritage and the South East Region Design Panel on development options, and the co-ordination and preparation of an ES alongside planning and listed building applications. The landscape design of the site has been developed to balance the need for sensitive restoration of the historic grounds with the creation of a series of contemporary open spaces and gardens.
