Dunorlan Park

A £2.4m Stage 2 Heritage Lottery Fund historic registered park restoration. Originally designed as the pleasure grounds for an 1850’s villa by the Victorian landscape designer, Robert Marnock, the project required not only the restoration of the historic features but also an effective re-structuring of the Victorian landscape into a public park. The project included improvements to the lake, new sitting/viewing terraces, restoration of the path system and the introduction of new path layouts, large scale vegetation clearance and the re-establishment of the original planting structure, including the cedar avenue, two new car parks, new entrances and park boundaries. Winner of BALI and Civic Trust awards.
